MEET YOUR ATTORNEY

Ethan M. Pease

Ethan started working for injured workers in 2009, opening mail as a clerk at a local firm. After learning the California workers' comp system from the inside and attending law school at night, he became an attorney in 2014.

Today his practice handles one thing: California workers' compensation cases for injured workers across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties.

Ethan M. Pease, Southern California workers' compensation attorney

I was injured at work in 2021, and unfortunately, the injury kept coming back over the years. When it happened again, I reported it to management, but they didn’t file a claim for me. A couple of weeks later, I lost my job, and I wasn’t sure where to turn or what my options were.

Someone recommended Ethan to me, so I reached out and explained everything that had happened. He took the time to listen to my situation, explained the process clearly, and handled my case for me. In the end, he was able to help me get a settlement for my injury.

I’m very grateful for all of his help and for the way he handled my case. Working with Ethan was a great experience, and I would absolutely give him 5 out of 5 stars. If you’re dealing with a workplace injury and don’t know where to start, I definitely recommend reaching out to him.

Common questions

See all FAQs →

How long do I have to file a workers' comp claim in California?

You generally have one year from the date of injury to file a claim, but you must report the injury to your employer within 30 days — waiting can hurt your case even if you're still within the legal deadline.

Can my employer fire me for filing a workers' comp claim?

No. California law prohibits retaliation against employees for filing a workers’ compensation claim. If you believe you’ve been fired, demoted, or otherwise punished for filing a claim, you may have additional legal options beyond your workers’ comp case.

What does it cost to hire your firm?

We work on a contingency basis, meaning there’s no upfront cost to you, and we only get paid if we recover benefits on your behalf. Consultations are free.
